The region’s most anticipated summer festival of music, arts, fashion, and food reached its fifth edition featuring performances from headliners that included Lorde, SZA, James Bay, Odesza, alt-J, Miguel, Nick Murphy, Vince Staples, The Neighborhood, alongside numerous international acts, as well as Indonesia’s most eclectic musical acts.
We The Fest 2019 saw the debut of the festival’s first sustainability campaign, We The Change. One of the campaign’s highlights was the collection of all plastic bottles throughout the festival that were then recycled to make gloves.
Wheelchair-bound audience members also enjoyed a special viewing platform for the first time ever at the festival, part of the Sama Bisa Bisa Sama campaign together with British Council. A brand new festival zone called WTF Con that gathers the nation’s most amazing brands and institutions also made its debut in 2018. From talkshows with the Indonesian acts to rap battles, the WTF Con was filled with interactive activities for all festival goers.
