Before the sixth edition of Jakarta Culinary Feastival arrives on 3-6 October at Senayan City, the festival is now on the lookout for Indonesia’s next culinary stars through The Chef Hunt 2019 competition.

Aiming to discover fresh talents in the culinary scene, the competition is the perfect platform for all aspiring chefs who want to bring their passion in cooking to the next level. Together with one of the world’s leading culinary schools, Le Cordon Bleu, and Modena, participants will be selected by some of the most influential figures in the Indonesian culinary scene.

The competition is open to all Indonesian citizens aged between 17-35 years old who have never worked professionally in a kitchen and have never participated in a Le Cordon Bleu cooking competition prior to participating in The Chef Hunt. The ability to speak English is also one of the entry requirements of the competition.

All participants are challenged to create a brand new dish inspired by Indonesian traditional cuisine/patisserie. Participants will then have to upload 1 to 2-minute video to Instagram on how to prepare the dish from scratch and on why they’re keen to participate in the competition.

“Through The Chef Hunt, Jakarta Culinary Feastival aims to provide a platform for all aspiring chefs to share their love of cooking with an even broader audience,” said Sarah Deshita, Brand Manager of Ismaya Live.
“We invite stay-at-home parents, young professionals, and simply, everybody with the love of cooking and have no professional backgrounds, to participate in The Chef Hunt,” Sarah continued.

For more details on The Chef Hunt, participants are required to visit www.jakartaculinaryfeastival.com/chefhunt. Submission is open until 10 September 2019.

Winners of The Chef Hunt will win amazing prices as well as the chance to perform LIVE at Jakarta Culinary Feastival 2019 set to be held on 3-6 October at Senayan City.
