Indonesia’s premier festival for all things music, fashion, food and the arts, We The Fest, today announces its sonically diverse and star-studded phase one lineup:

Year on year, organisers Ismaya Live continue to outdo themselves with carefully curated lineups, pieced together with artists right at the top of their respective genres. The first headliner bound for Indonesia’s bustling capital this year is none other than viral hip-hop duo, Rae Sremmurd. Still riding a wave of success from their global hit ‘Black Beatles’, and specialising in party-friendly trap anthems, the Atlanta-based duo will be lighting up the WTF mainstage come July. They join multi-grammy-nominated R&B icon Daniel Caesar, who gained international attention with his Billboard #1 album Freudian back in 2017 and major follow up collaborations with the likes of H.E.R and Jessie Reyez. Also announced today and continuing on the R&B tip, is South-Korean sensation DEAN, and one of the hottest breakthrough acts currently on the circuit, 6LACK. With his music a nod to the sounds of Usher and T-Pain, his cuts including ‘OTW’ and ‘PRBLMS’ have struck a chord the world over.

Returning to Jakarta is one of Indonesia’s best loved bands, Cigarettes After Sex. With their sultry and emotionally charged tracks soothing the nation and beyond, their performance will certainly be one to remember. Taking things up a considerable gear is future-bass connoisseur San Holo, and one of house music’s rising stars Yaeji. Together with Australia’s most sought after DJ Anna Lunoe and New Zealand indie-pop sensation Baynk, there will be plenty to keep the party going right until curfew.

Flying the flag for pop is Toronto five-piece Alvvays, whose sugary melodies and dreamy chord progressions will be going down a treat with the Jakartan crowd, as will Jess ConnellySabrina Claudioand Rad Museum’s unique brand of soulful R&B.
