DWP19 - Aftermovie - Coming Home.jpeg

South-East Asia’s #1 electronic dance festival, Djakarta Warehouse Project, today shares its FOMO-inducing 2018 aftermovie. Shot at its special 10th anniversary edition in Bali, Indonesia, the stunning recap can be viewed at http://bit.ly/theofficialdwpxaftermovie.

The seven-minute extravaganza begins with sweeping shots of Bali’s sublime beauty spots before coming to rest at GWK Cultural Park, the awe-inspiring backdrop for this unique event. Overlooked by the 396 foot ‘Garuda Wisnu Kencana’ statue, the camera weaves between dancers performing a traditional ‘Tari Kecak’ routine, and then onto the three stages that hosted top-flight DJs from around the world.

Zipping between performances from Alesso, Major Lazer Soundsystem, Armin Van Buuren, DJ Snake, Mura Masa, Claptone, Dipha Barus, and a spelling-binding set from The Weeknd, the film showcases the breadth of talent on offer and the enduring appeal of the event. With all three days selling out in advance, festival goers came from over 38 countries including Austria, Ireland, New Zealand, and Sweden, as well as the local markets of Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.

During its 10-year existence the festival and the concept behind it has grown and developed, with 2018 hailed one of its most exciting editions to date. The film is a testament to this expansion, and confidently ushers in a new decade of dance music in Indonesia. With under 5 months to go, fans can now look forward to Djakarta Warehouse Project’s 11th edition which returns to its original home in Jakarta on 13-15 December 2019.
